  • Friday Night Live Music – Pele Tower Pub Corbridge

The Pele Tower, also known as “The Vicars Pele” was the first of its kind and was built in AD 1300 for the Vicar of Corbridge and was lived in as a fortified vicarage until the early 17th Century.

Today it is a Micro Pub & Brewery selling quality craft ales, ciders, wines and spirits. This truly unique and historic setting has three floors, each with an individual ambience and relaxed atmosphere. You can’t help but appreciate this ancient building while you enjoy the tipple of your choice!

Regular live music events are planned over the summer. To keep up to date with events follow their Facebook account The Pele Tower or their website www.thepele.com

  • The Rat Inn

Overlooking the glorious Tyne Valley, The Rat Inn has recently acquired the accolade of “National Pub and Bar Awards Winner for Northumberland” and is again amongst the prestigious “National Top 50 Gastropubs 2018” ranking number 14!

Anyone that appreciates great food and a traditional pub atmosphere will find this gem a perfect location to spend time with friends and family. The Rib of Beef is a must!

  • Langley Castle – Gin Event Monday 27th August 2018

Langley Castle Hotel is a 14th Century fortified castle, nestling in the Northumbrian Valley of the South Tyne, usually renowned for its very special afternoon teas but The Castle will be hosting its first ever Gin Event on Monday 27th August 2018! They will have over 30 Gins available with live music, food and hopefully lots of sunshine.

The £13.50 ticket price includes;

Entry into the event, a Gin & Tonic, a Langley Castle Gin Glass and a Gin Truffle.

On the off chance of bad weather this event will take place inside in the Banqueting suite, and accommodation is available if you really feel like making it a mini break!

  • Last but by no means least…

   Northumberland International Dark Sky Park

One of the undeniable appeals of glorious Northumberland is the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park that was unveiled in December 2013. 572 square miles of protected night sky, the largest in Europe. It is officially the best place in England for people to enjoy the heavens and it will not fail to wow and make you feel in awe.

It seems unbelievable to someone who lives in Northumberland but around 85% of the UK population has never seen a truly dark sky, so for an amazing experience that has no entrance fee, get your deckchair, binoculars, a hot drink and get outside in rural Northumberland for a star-studded show!!!!
